Today I Love Megan Fife Taylor

Megan Fife saved me.
She and I met the day after I moved to Salt Lake in 2008 and within a month we were hanging out more than often.
I'm noticing a trend as I write these posts, and that is that I tend to gravitate towards women-friends who are sassy, adventurous,  and fiercely protective.  Yep, that's Megan.
She and I have been through a lot together in these few years and have needed each other for emotional support.  Both of us had moved to Salt Lake for a fresh start at life and boy did we ever find it with each other.  When I think of her, I think of two things: 1. Her contagious, joyful, loud laugh 2. The motherly look of  love and concern as she expresses something like, "Larissa, you know what is best and you know I love you no matter what."
She has come to support me in every single show I've done and, dare I say it, but she and Julie Taylor are my only super fans.  What makes you a super fan?  Well, you have to wear a t-shirt with my face on it.  Yeah, awesome.  I died the first time I saw them as my heart melted into goop that my friends loved and cared for me enough to be so supportive and silly.
A couple of years ago, she met her husband, Kevin.  You know, he may care about my friendship with Megan as much as Megan does!  He is always asking if she needs time with the girls and when he knows we are having a rough time, he plots with her ways to make us feel on top of things again.  And he lets us be crazy girls around him.  He's great!  One of the things that has meant the most to me, and almost brings me to tears, is when Megan asked me to be a part of her wedding along with Julie.  I know some of us are out there thinking, "Always the bridesmaid..."  But think of it!  Someone loves you enough to ask you to be a part of the most important day of their life.  That's HUGE!  I'm absolutely overwhelmed with love for this lady.
If you take a look at the photos below, you can see we've been all over - Oregon, Washington, San Fran, Hawaii!
Megan was born to be a mother, and not too long ago I was able to attend the blessing of her darling Jana Grace.
Megan, I love you so much.  I look up to you in so many more ways than you will ever know.  You inspire me.  You show me that life keeps going and that I must give it my all no matter the circumstance.  You have taught me that through serving and loving others, all of that will come back to me ten fold.  You also show me the Lord will bless my life and my efforts and I know, because of you, without a doubt, that the Lord's will for us is better than we could have ever dreamed for ourselves.  I love you!!!

Guess what!?!? I love Megan, too! You nailed it on your description of her. She is beyond compassionate and has the best laugh. Life is better when she is around.
