Men's Two-Toned Dress Shirts

There was a hot trend a couple of years ago that I could not stand - men's two-toned shirts where the collar and the cuffs were different colors than the rest of the shirt.

You can still see these shirts around, but not nearly as rampant as they were, thank heavens.  I really can't figure out why I don' like them, as any dress shirt is quite nice in comparison to, let's say, a t-shirt, but I think I'd almost prefer a t-shirt.

Random, I know.  I rediscovered my displeasure with these in Las Vegas this past week when I maybe got a little too passionate about my dislike.

Larissa did you attack anyone on this 2 tone bit or was there some cute guy you saw and you were turned off cause of the shirt. Just feels like you're leaving something out :)

I was with my man friend, for whom we'd been clothes shopping. We were examining all different types of dress shirts and materials and something triggered my memory. I very assertively stated, "I hate those one shirts where the collar and the shirt are a different color - you know the ones? I really, really, REALLY hate those shirts. I don't know why, I just can't stand them." Then we saw someone wearing one not ten minutes later. So it was kind of hilarious. Then I remembered that I've been sharing fashion stuff I do and don't like on the blog, so up it went!

The Robert Walz shirt! You've got to admit, though, he could make anything look good.

(Hmm, he mostly taught broadcasting classes, so maybe you don't know who Bob Walz is...but if you don't, you should.)

Oh I definitely know who he is and you hit the nail on the head. I had him for my newswriting class in the spring of '02 I think.
