Locked

I believe I tempted the fates when I blogged about not much to blog about.
I am an idiot. Full-fledged, as a matter of fact.
I went to the gym with a dear friend on Saturday morning. I was chatting away, which is obviously a distraction, because I took about two steps away from the car while doing my traditional "pat down." You know, checking the pockets for the appropriate baggage.
No keys. In my ignition? Oh yes.

I would like us all to take a moment of silence to mourn the loss of my brain.

Now, I would like to dedicate some time to the fabulous Shayla! She left her workout, went to my house to pick up the spare key, brought it to the gym, and didn't make me feel crazy at all (even though she probably had a really good laugh about it). This girl is beyond amazing. When I think of exactly the kind of friend that is everything you could ask for - she is it - and then about 10 gazillion additional amazing things. She serves with such joy and love in her heart - and lets me do the same for her! Yeah for Shayla!

In the end, my friend and I were rescued. Not before I had to plead with the gym people to let me in without my pass (which they did because the recognized me as a regular) and embarrass myself a little more.
