The Ex- Factor

"Your ex-almost fiancee lives in Salt Lake? Don't worry, you'll never run into him!"
To all of you people who said this - I bite my thumb at thee!
I hadn't even lived here for a whole week when BAM - there he is in all his rip-my-heart-out-and-Lord-of-the-dance-all-over-it glory with his new girlfriend at Walmart late on Saturday night. I manned it up and waltzed right up and said hello. He asked where I lived and I responded, "That way - that's all you need to know." He laughed at me, we chatted for 30 seconds, I continued on my way. I introduced myself to chica and she said, "Hi...." in that "ew, disdain alert" kinda way.
The best part?
This is the first time I have seen him EVER and not been attracted to him. The specific reasons will remain undisclosed except through private correspondence. Secondly, I am NOT a conceited person in any way and actually have a quite low self-image, but I can 100% confidently say I am, like, totally, WAY cuter than this gal! HOORAY!
SO, now I am officially ready to get me mine and am no longer afraid of going somewhere and running into you-know-who! Been there, done that - AND met the girlfriend, boy - talk about two birds with one shopping cart!
To top it all off, three, yes THREE guys came over Sunday night at their asking! I'm almost the female Flava Flav....almost....

Stolen Car

It is quite complicated typing with a kitty and a laptop on your lap, but she seems quite contented, so I'll make due.
A few weeks ago I got in my car for my 6:30am morning commute to see a letter on my dash. Wha...? I see it is addressed to my roommate's sister and think, "What, they couldn't break into HER car?" I open this note from our friend Nate that says something about thanks for letting him borrow the car. Now I'm really confused.
I text Nate and ask him why he put that note in my car. He got confused and said he borrowed Dacya's sister's car. The Honda civic. The red one. Uh....no dear, dear Nate. She has a silver Honda.
Now the question is, why did her key work on my car? Second - it is a VERY good thing I was napping while he had the car, otherwise I would have reported it stolen (very likely in my old hood). Could you imagine them "catching" the thief and it is my friend? Ha...what a scenario.
