Moving

I am officially moving to SLC in two weeks. And I will officially have a place to myself with an extra bedroom and bathroom just for visitors. Lonely will I get? Heck no, cause all of you will come visit me way too often, I just know it! I even have a nice huge balcony we can have breakfasts on while we watch the sunrise. I'll have a pool where we can join all the old ladies in water aerobics! If all else fails, we can chase the geese and ducks that swim in the creek that runs right outside my balcony.

?

Does no one show pity for this poor girl? For the first time EVER I made New Year's resolutions. My first mistake was making one that was entirely out of my immediate control - Go on something that resembles a date at least once every other month.
These chumps we are calling "men" have left this hottie mchothot with a shake and fries dateless since January 3! This is probably my biggest dry spell in, well, YEARS!

Great Minds

My sister is leaving to move home to Ohio to be with the man she loves - blah blah, insert romantic sappiness. I understand, but that doesn't mean I won't burst into tears at amazingly random times quite often throughout the next few weeks.
Before she decided to leave me for Haines (no, not the underwear - that is really his name), she had a birthday. For her birthday, I thought it would be fun to have a sister's day out once she had recuperated from her surgery the previous day. I bought concert tickets for Ingrid Michaelson's Hotel Cafe Tour, a promise of a treat to her favorite restaurant, and a trip to the spa to get deluxe pedicures/glitter toes. We decided to make an entire day of it and had breakfast together, went shopping for new glasses for me, etc.

The concert tickets stated the show started at 6:30, but those little scallywags didn't start until 7:30! We got a little bored and decided to take pictures of ourselves. When we were reviewing the photos, Brit started cracking up because she had made a stupid face in one of the photos. I immediately started laughing, telling her, "Oh wait, it gets better!" I flipped to the previous picture where I had been making a stupid face. We didn't plan that little spectacle - we had no idea what the other was doing! We had a good laugh out of that one - great minds think alike!

USPS

A few weeks ago I went to the Post Office to pick up a package. Much to my disappointment, it was simply a returned package my little sister had tried to mail out. She hadn't put any postage on it - strange methinks. So, I take the package to her and explain. She exclaims, "Those dummies at UPS! The postage is right there!"
I say, "Did you just say UPS?" (she confirms) "Then why did you take this package to the Post Office?"
